
This VFX Artist with be able to conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively assisting with the ongoing development of Camelot Unchained and our VFX editor, and will be able to partner with multiple disciplines to meet project specific needs. The VFX Artist at CSE will have experience with FX creating and editing and will have both a strong creative and technical background.

1-2 years of experience in the video game industry as a Character Concept Artist.Extensive portfolio with examples of current, hands-on work, including concept art, production designs, storyboards and other visual images that demonstrate complex artistic goals in simple to follow visual images.Possess strong time management and prioritization skills.Bachelor degree or Equivalent training or skill sets.Familiarity with video game product development including, but not limited to workflow, tools, limits of technology, color keys, character turnarounds, storyboards, marketing materials, and graphic design.Some understanding of 3D modeling software to create initial mockups or manipulate existing 3D files a plus. Proven ability to create visually interesting 3D spaces.Excellent skills in the use of Photoshop/Painter or equivalent.Strong understanding and ability to design architecture, and natural landscapes.Must be able to rapidly prototype and make expedient changes to concepts based on feedback.Excellent traditional art skills including composition, painting, drawing, sketching, lighting, perspective and color theory.Provide supplemental visual direction to team production artists to ensure visual design of content is coherent and within our art style.Create sketches, detailed renderings and turnarounds for character and creature studies.Iterate on game assets with internal and external production artists via paint overs, studies, and group critiques.Develop detailed concept art for 3D artists and animators to implement in to working game assets.Develop character concepts and skins including detailed breakouts for equipment and weapons.We are looking for a concept artist that can rapidly prototype and make expedient changes to prototypes based on feedback.
